My Favorite Thanksgiving Recipes

I am thankful for food.

Happy Thanksgiving!

My regular dinnerFeeds may be found beneath this post, but most of us are in Thanksgiving mode about now. I recently updated this site with a Holiday Cookbook, which you will find by clicking the Gold Holiday Ball icon to the right of the turkey feathers. “Super-Simple” recipes and a menu slide show are also included in each category.

Please take advantage of the “print recipe only” option for individual recipes and the “find your favorite recipe” pull-down menus for searching site-wide. These features, and the lack of ads, are much-requested blessings.

Have a great holiday!

– Peggy

I’m looking for this poached pear recipe you made last year. It had cream or something with it. I want to make it for Thanksgiving. It was on your old site. Where can I find it???

I just loaded it; scroll down under the stuffed pears and you’ll find it – you could also search for it in the main search engine or under desserts in the future. That’s a great recipe for Thanksgiving – I completely forgot about it! (Advise if you see anymore missing and I will upload pronto!) Happy Turkey!

Congratulations on the new site Peggy! As another Alabamian living a little further away from the fields and flavors of my childhood, I depend on your recipes because I haven’t found a cookbook that approximates your palate or seasonal sensibilities for menu planning. I am so excited to have you in my kitchen through the holidays! I found you last year searching for an Oyster Stew like Mama made and it made me so happy and warm to recreate such a simple and savory meal when I really, really was hungry for it! ….. Best wishes for your holiday week!

PS – hellos from Pride and Rutledge F. in Atlanta – just spent a nice weekend there catching up with them.

Shannon! Thanks for your kind words. We do share the same palate, I’m certain of that. Even though we’ve never met, I feel as if I’ve known you a while. Maybe it was that day (almost 2 years ago) of oyster stew bonding? I’m so glad you “found” me. Maybe one of these days we’ll meet down south; I would love visiting Nela in Fairhope. Have a lovely holiday season! Peggy

  5. Aloha everybody! Great blog! Do you know more blogs on this topic?

I welcome your comments!(This site was recently transferred but, unfortunately, I did not have privileges to include past comments. I would love to see a conversation started!)
